Toomas Hendrik Ilves

Toomas Hendrik Ilves is President of the Republic of Estonia now serving his second term in office. During his presidency Toomas Hendrik Ilves has been appointed to serve in several high ICT positions in the European Union and he's been promoting Estonia’s IT-development since it restored its independence. His interest in computers stems from an early age – he learned to program at the age of 13. In recent years, president Ilves has spoken and written extensively at international forums on European integration, transatlantic relations, startup culture, e-government and cyber security.

Toomas Hendrik-Ilves is visiting Tokyo this March and attending FINEST startup event in Tokyo, providing Japanese startups an opportunity to pitch their ideas to the most startup friendly president in the world!
